About Pokepatched

Pokepatched is an independent, fan-run index of Pokémon ROM hacks. It exists because the best fan games are hard to find. Twenty years of projects are scattered across forum threads, Discord servers and personal sites, and many of the links are dead.

We bring those projects together in one searchable catalogue, organised by platform, base game and completion status. We also cover the part the catalogue can't: getting a hack running.

What you'll find here

• The catalogue. Over a thousand hacks across GBA, DS, Game Boy and Game Boy Color, each with its creator, base game, version and status.
• Pokepatched notes. Researched notes on popular hacks: which base ROM the patch needs, save-type pitfalls, how far the story goes, and where the official release lives, with every source linked.
• Install guides for each platform, and an in-browser ROM patcher. Your ROM never leaves your device.
• Guides and roundups on the blog, and platform guides such as GBA hacks and DS hacks.

What we don't do

We don't host ROMs or patches, and we don't link to pre-patched games. Patches contain only the creator's changes, and you apply them to a game you own. Pokepatched isn't affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc. or The Pokémon Company. See the disclaimer.

Credit where it's due

Every hack here is the work of its creator, often years of unpaid work. Each page names its creator, and our notes point to their official release threads. That's where to leave feedback, report bugs and follow updates.

How we work

Our editorial policy explains where our information comes from and how we choose download links. Spotted a mistake, a dead link, or a hack we're missing? Creators can also ask for a listing to be updated or removed. Use the contact form.
