Permanent Pokémon deaths, paid healing, and level caps make Pokémon Elaf Gold a survival-oriented challenge. Elaf's completed v1.0.1 FireRed hack for GBA is designed for Nuzlocke-style play, with a random starter drawn from obtainable Pokémon and a four-tier level system. It includes 386 Pokémon across several generations, reworked trainers and stats, harder capture rules, and minimum 10% move-miss chances. Johto and Kanto are joined by new connecting routes, while Fairy type and the physical/special split are among its standard modern additions.
