About Pokemon FireRed Minus GBA ROM
Generation 3 gameplay meets the visual language of generation 2 in Pokémon FireRed Minus. This completed GBA FireRed hack by KrustyKong uses Crystal Pokémon sprites, generation 2 overworld sprites, and GSC battle backgrounds and interface elements. Its Kanto maps recreate the original Red, Blue, and Yellow layouts with GSC-style graphics, giving familiar routes a distinctly older presentation. The game is built on MrDollSteak’s FireRed ROMbase and removes version-exclusive Pokémon, so the roster is not divided between versions.
