About Pokemon Good Ruby

Personality-based Pokémon palettes and an expanded TM selection give Pokémon Good Ruby a distinct take on Ruby. This GBA beta v1.3 was made by DoesntKnowHowToPlay. Team Aqua and Team Magma switch roles around Mt. Chimney, Surf has no wild encounters, and the Regi chambers are open from the start. Fallarbor offers Egg Move tutoring, while Lavaridge has nature training for your Pokémon.

What's in it

  • Pokémon palettes vary by personality value, like the Stadium games.
  • Team Aqua and Team Magma trade places during the Mt. Chimney section.
  • Surf no longer triggers wild encounters.
  • The Regi doors are open from the beginning.
  • New and expanded areas house Kanto and Johto Legendary Pokémon.
  • Refreshment healing items are easier to buy in bulk but cannot be used in battle.
  • The game includes 92 TMs and 7 HMs, with Dive's field use moved to an item.
  • A Fallarbor tutor can pass Egg Moves between Pokémon.
  • A Lavaridge NPC can train Pokémon beyond the limits of their natures.
