About Pokemon Hearth
Toku is a new region inspired by pre-modern Japan and China, giving Pokémon Hearth its own setting, story, and custom visual identity. Doodle created this English GBA hack from Emerald, version 0.1.22. Its lighthearted tone and balanced, vanilla-like difficulty are built for a relaxed adventure, while its modern technical base supports updated gameplay. Explore its original lands through a classic Pokémon-style journey shaped by custom graphics.

Pokémon Hearth is an Emerald-based, work-in-progress adventure set in the new Toku region. The public demo currently reaches its third Gym, so it is a short opening chapter rather than a complete League campaign.

Before you patch
- Use a clean Pokémon Emerald (USA or Europe) ROM. That is the base named by the official patch page; its browser patcher is configured to validate the input ROM.
- Download the BPS patch, not a pre-patched game. The official file is
pokeemerald-hearth_0.1.26.bps; apply it with our ROM patcher or another BPS-capable patcher. - Keep the download and your save together. This is an actively developed demo, and the official package has been replaced with newer point versions several times.
Who it’s for
Hearth is a good fit if a compact, in-progress original-region adventure sounds appealing. Doodle’s release announcement calls the current build a three-Gym demo, so players looking for the Elite Four, a long postgame, or a finished campaign should wait for a later release.
