Animated Nintendo DS-style sprites and modern battle rules update Emerald while its original storyline remains intact. Pokémon Sigma Emerald is a GBA project by DraconianWing based on Pokémon Emerald, at version 1.914. All 386 Pokémon from Generations 1 through 3 are obtainable, and the National Pokédex is available from the start. The Fairy type, Physical/Special/Status split, Generation 6 move data and critical-hit rules, later abilities, and ORAS-based level-up learnsets modernize battles. Reusable TMs, indoor Running Shoes, and a Trade Sim for trade evolutions make routine play easier.
