About Pokemon Too Realistic

Pokémon Too Realistic turns Emerald into a severe survival challenge where Pokémon can die permanently from zero HP, hunger, age, illness, medicine toxicity, or a full-speed Mach Bike crash. Health information is hidden outside Ability displays, while random weather, day and night cycles, and a sped-up clock alter the world. Friendship affects obedience and drops in PC storage; healing costs 500 per Pokémon. Species have their own sleep schedules, and weaker Pokémon flinch more often. Chris Piché created this completed English GBA hack of Emerald, version 1.1.

What's in it

• Lose Pokémon permanently when their HP reaches zero.
• Play without the usual HUD or summary screen, with health shown only through Abilities.
• Experience random weather and day-and-night cycles.
• Use a faster in-game clock that affects events and Pokémon.
• Keep Pokémon fed to prevent hunger deaths; Leftovers prevent hunger.
• Watch Pokémon age and die according to species lifespan.
• Risk negative effects from overdosing on medicines, berries, or vitamins.
• Handle permanent conditions including STDs and Pokérus (Rabies), which affect stats, spread, and reduce life expectancy.
• Watch weaker Pokémon flinch more often.
• Manage different sleep schedules by species.
• Pay 500 to heal each Pokémon.
• Maintain friendship for obedience, which falls when Pokémon are stored in the PC.
• Allow Pokémon to become attracted to each other.
• Avoid killing your lead Pokémon by crashing into a wall at full speed on a Mach Bike.
• Avoid Soda, which increases Pokémon hunger.
