Pokémon Big Blue makes Kanto fully open-world, with Trainers, wild Pokémon, and Gyms scaling to badge progress. It includes Gen 1–3 Pokémon, cross-generation evolutions, permanent Mega and G-Max evolutions, the Fairy type, and the Physical/Special split. This completed English GBA hack of FireRed by Mian Calendar Games has a Final version. Routes, caves, towns, and cities use refreshed designs alongside Generation 4 overworld graphics.
