Pokemon Crystal Awakening

Pokemon Crystal Awakening is a GBC ROM Hack by FrenchOrange based on Pokemon Crystal in English. It was released on November 29, 2025, and is now available to download.

• ▸ Overhauled overworld and interior graphics, alongside some UI elements.
• ▸ Tweaked trainer teams, namely harder rosters for important trainers, such as Gym Leaders.
• ▸ An expanded Kanto, with restored dungeons, more trainers, and more items.
• ▸ More sensible Pokémon distribution (as seen here), and more generous HM compatibility.
• ▸ Every Pokémon available on one save file, and all room decorations can be bought or are gifted to you.
• ▸ Fixed off-model Pokémon sprites. Palettes were also improved for a good amount of Pokémon.
• ▸ Some QOL features, like “Running Shoes” (works by holding down B), and an automatic Repel reuse message.
• ▸ Fixed bugs and glitches.
• ▸ The Celebi event, now restored! To get it, simply head to Goldenrod’s Pokémon Center after beating the League.
