Pokémon Emerald Legacy is a completed refinement of the original Hoenn campaign that deliberately keeps its Generation III ruleset. The trade-off is that it does not add the physical/special split, new moves or evolutions, or the Fairy type, so it remains closer to Emerald than a modern overhaul.

Before you patch

Use the official v1.1.4 release. Its download is a patch archive, and the release notes identify the included ROM patch as BPS.
