Pokemon Fire Red Reignited & Leaf Green Regrown are GBA ROM Hacks by BruhcationYT based on Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green in English. They were last updated on April 11, 2025, and are now available to download.

◆ FEATURES · 49 TOTAL
  • All Kanto and Johto Pokémon available in both versions.
  • Main Dex: 181 Pokémon (151 original + 30 new). ⅔ are cross-gen evolutions and pre-evolutions. ⅓ are added Johto Pokémon to improve type diversity. Some additional Pokémon obtainable through secret means.
  • Map improvements to make areas feel less empty (e.g., Cinnabar Island, Mt. Moon).
  • New areas: Mt. Moon Square Additional Rock Tunnel floor (accessible with Rock Smash).
  • Rebalanced Pokémon locations, stats, movesets, and abilities. Examples: Bug-type Cut, improved movesets, higher base stats for some Pokémon. Many encounters mirror Yellow Legacy. Nidoran back on Route 22.
  • Battle Engine and stat changes from Emerald Legacy. Example: Hail grants a 50% Defense boost.
  • Dark and Ghost-type stats swapped.
  • Stronger Trainer teams: Better level curve, improved movesets, fully evolved Pokémon. Giovanni now has a Rhydon. Champion’s final battle caps at Level 65.
  • Higher-level Gift Pokémon.
  • Various Emerald and Yellow Legacy features: Fishing Rod placements improved. Faster access to fossils. Optional battles against Professor Oak.
  • Selectable difficulty modes (from Legacy): Normal: Standard Pokémon rules. Hard: Level caps, no items in battle, Set mode. Hardcore: Perma-death mode.
  • Pokémon rebalancing focuses on keeping their original feel while making them viable.
  • Expanded postgame with more battles and activities.
  • Sevii League: A set of powerful boss trainers, rewarding the Aurora Ticket.
  • Gym Leader rematches.
  • Roaming Pokémon made easier to catch: After beating the Elite Four, additional roamers spawn once the previous one is caught. They won’t Roar to flee. They have good IVs. An NPC on Five Island tracks their locations (and has a special surprise).
  • Better rewards and item distribution. Facade Onix NPC now gives a Lucky Egg. Selphy can reward Master Balls.
  • VS Seeker postgame upgrade: Only takes 1/5 of the steps. 100% chance to refresh all trainers in range.
  • No more 60-Pokémon requirement for the National Dex.
  • Egg Move tutor unlocks after a special set of battles.
  • Special Johto trainers available for rematches.
  • Completing the 180-Pokémon Dex leads to a special event with Professor Oak.
  • Treasure Hunt for Celebi as an endgame quest.
  • Quality-of-life HM fixes: Cut trees and Rock Smash rocks are permanently removed after use. Victory Road boulders stay in place. HMs are now replaceable!
  • Rock Smash is more useful, unlocking optional areas. Example: A shortcut from Route 4 to Mt. Moon. Can be used after defeating Lt. Surge.
  • Better TM distribution: Hidden Power, Sludge Bomb, and Facade added. Ice Beam (Seafoam Islands), Thunderbolt (Power Plant), Flamethrower (Mt. Ember).
  • Waterfall no longer required on Four Island.
  • Dive added as a trophy item in the Safari Zone.
  • Faster Nurse Joy interactions.
  • Bag sorting for easier item management.
  • EV & IV Checkers available on Pokémon Center 2F.
  • EXP Share replaces Running Shoes (Running Shoes now obtained at Oak’s Lab).
  • Repels automatically reuse when they run out.
  • Price adjustments to make items more balanced.
  • Unique Team Rocket battle theme (from Crystal Dust).
  • Easier access to the Truck area (no need for trading). No Mew, but a useful surprise awaits.
  • Some NPCs block shortcuts until key story points (e.g., SS Anne rival battle).
  • After beating Misty & Blue, Dig House shortcut opens (still need the SS Ticket).
  • Unlock Vermillion’s gates by defeating an overleveled guard after getting the badge.
  • Various Emerald-inspired features: Out-of-battle Ability effects. Premier Balls available. EV-reducing Berries.
  • Improved shops (e.g., 2 Island Merchant now stocks better items).
  • Respawning items now require only 1000 steps.
  • Move Tutor moved to Cinnabar, with Mushrooms buyable on Three Island. TM Seller now sells all TMs after a postgame quest.
  • Trainer Tower enhancements: More Pokémon in Single & Double battles. Improved AI and rewards.
  • Expanded overworld Trainer sprites (e.g., Psychics now have unique looks).
  • Unused Victory Road trainers added for extra challenges.
  • Champion and Professor Oak turn on battle animations (like in Gen 1).
  • Safari Zone overhaul: Rocks, bait, and ball mechanics improved for better catch rates.
  • Move Relearner can now reteach Move Tutor moves for a cost.
