Pokémon RBGenesis+ revisits Kanto with the look of the second-generation games while bringing Pokémon from generations one through eight into the region. Its story adds characters and events, and fresh locations include River Valley, Deep Forest and Mt. Moon Summit. This fan game is for returning Kanto players who want a sterner challenge and more places to search. Wild encounters respond to the day and night cycle, while Mega Stones and battle items are placed around the map. The adventure runs from beginning to Champion, then opens smaller Johto post-game areas, Shadow Pokémon content and a repeatable boss battle.
