Apex Pokémon dens, secret grottos, and Pidgeot Express travel reshape Kanto in Pokémon ReDX. SkidMarc25's English RPGXP game uses a Generation II-inspired visual style, adds areas and an expanded regional Pokédex of around 300 Pokémon, including new Mega Evolutions. Trainers do not reveal their next Pokémon, while Wonder Trade and Trainer's Nook services unlock through the story. Routes 9 and 10 become canyons, and a Rock Tunnel path leads to a snowy mountaintop.
