About Pokemon Yellow – Gen. II Graphics

Generation II-style presentation transforms Pokémon Yellow – Gen. II Graphics, an English GBC Yellow hack by Danny-E 33 in Beta 1.1. Pokémon palettes and trainer-class palettes are changed to match Gold, Silver, and Crystal, while several trainer sprites draw from FireRed and LeafGreen designs. Back sprites use a 48×48 format instead of enlarged pixelated art. The battle HUD, font, text border, owned-Pokémon Poké Ball tile, and working in-battle experience bar all adopt GSC-inspired visuals.

What's in it

  • Use trainer sprites adapted from FireRed and LeafGreen where GSC lacked them.
  • Use Pokémon and trainer-class palettes styled after Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
  • See 48×48 Pokémon back sprites without enlarged pixelation.
  • Use GSC-style battle HUD, font, and text-box border graphics.
  • See the GSC owned-Pokémon Poké Ball tile in wild battles.
  • Use a functional GSC-style in-battle experience bar.
