About Pokemon Cave Escape
Deterministic battles and logic-led cave puzzles make Pokémon Cave Escape a compact test of planning. Ketchupplant's completed Final GBA hack of Pokémon Emerald uses Pokémon, moves, and battle mechanics through Generation 9. Six trainer battles and three overworld puzzles combine with items and game systems, while an NPC can offer hints at the cost of extra in-game clock time. Accuracy and other battle randomness have been removed in favour of consistent outcomes. The puzzles are designed to be solvable through reasoning, with hints where needed and no AI-dependent solutions.
