Deep changes to types, moves, Pokémon stats, maps, and graphics push Pokémon Crystal Maeson away from standard Crystal conventions. Maeson's GBC hack of Crystal is in version 1.3. It adds the physical/special split, raises the overall difficulty fairly, and reworks the Battle Tower. Rematches and other endgame content extend play after the main journey, while new maps and major visual changes reshape many areas.
