All 386 Pokémon in Kanto, tougher encounters, and cross-region rivals give Pokémon FireRed: Generations a larger challenge. Blue made this GBA beta, version 1.5, from Pokémon FireRed. May, Jessie, and James appear across the journey, while Gym Leaders are replaced by characters from different regions. It adds exploration areas with Legendary Pokémon, new evolution methods, adjusted types and genders, and a Gym Rematch Room in Vermilion City after becoming Champion.
